I thought I'd write a post about the importance of mental health because 99% of the time its brushed under the carpet and that is not ok, our mental health is just as important as our physical health. Our mental health reflects in every aspect of our lives; how we think, feel, deal with stress, make choices... the list goes on.

I've come across many people that have a complete different opinion to me on this particular topic, some have never been in any form of a 'low mood' so to them this may seem a little 'over exaggerated' which is not something you say to someone regardless of your own opinion, we're all different and entitled to feel anything we want. From my own experience I have been told that I'm 'silly' or 'I'm doing this to myself' or the best one is 'snap out of it' and I think people tend to forget its not as easy as snapping out of a low mood or something as serious as depression. Being told that the emotions that we are unable to control are 'silly' never makes the situation easier neither does it make the process of getting better quicker...

I personally am a believer in getting therapy (although there are many pro's and con's) when I was a teenager dealing with depressing after being bullied I visited a psychiatrist regularly to talk about my feelings but now at the age of 21 I don't feel like its helped me as much, almost like I've outgrown it, but now as I've grown up I solely believe in self healing. Changing the way you think about yourself and any situation is the big step to recovery, thinking positively and beginning to take baby steps into doing what makes YOU feel good will slowly bring back the happiness you've been missing. It's helped me significantly over the last few months when I've found myself having low self esteem.

Advice I would like to give to the people that are dealing with a loved one that is suffering from any type of mental health disorder is to have patience. I know first hand that there is only so much patience one person can actually have but it is vital that you are able to support them by encouraging them to get the correct help they need. Remember not everyone is the same, each individual is unique therefor their coping mechanisms are different to others, it may take some time to see what works well but there always is something that can be done - so don't think there is no hope. When you find yourself getting frustrated try to remember the good in the person, theres always a valid reason to why someone has ended up the way that they are.

Don't take it all up on yourself, you cannot rescue someone that is dealing with depression you can only support them. Ultimately the individual that is going through depression is the only person that can fix the problem, remember its a choice that they have to make not you.

I hope this blog post has helped whomever is reading, one day things will get better, it may not be perfect but it sure will be better than what it is. My email is up on the top right hand side of my blog, please feel free to send me a message with any concerns/problems/advice and I'd be happy to help or even just listen.

Milani 2 in 1 Foundation - 06 Sand Biege
I've already written a full review on this foundation that you can read about here. The coverage is absolutely amazing, it covers up blemishes and any darker areas on my face without having to colour correct which is great because that's one less step to do! If you're looking for a full coverage but affordable foundation I'd highly recommend this one.

Freedom Duo Eyebrow Powder - Soft Brown
I love setting my eyebrows with some powder after using a pomade as it adds longevity so I've been on the hunt for a new one seeing as the one I use right now has pretty much finished (for reference it was Natural Collections 'Crushed Walnut' eyeshadow - its amazing!). I was in superdrugs and on a whim I picked up this brow powder, I wasn't too sure about the shade I picked up because it looked a little too light but it has actually matched pretty well with the pomade I use. The powder is super long lasting, I actually have found that its lasted much longer than my ABH pomade during a long sweaty day at work - it is intact! There are a few more colours to choose from and I love that its a duo so there is a slightly lighter colour that you can mix it with if you find the darker shade looking a little over the top.

DUO Brush it On Adhesive Glue
My best friend Rima introduced me to this eyelash glue after hearing my numerous complaints about the original duo glue being smelly and getting wasted all the time seeing as the hole is huge, I feel like you have 0 control over how much comes out. This Duo Brush It on Glue has changed my life completely, I have full control over how much I'd like to use and its so easy to apply onto the lash band. This glue has not failed me once even with the windy weather now my lashes have stayed put! 100% recommend it.

Primark Lipliner 'Rosewood Mauve'
I am such a huge fan of the Primark lipliners especially the shade 'Brown' I wear it near enough everyday underneath a lipstick or lined around my lips, it's never failed to impress me. They glide on like a dream as they are super creamy not to mention very pigmented too considering they are only £1. I picked up this new shade a few weeks ago, the name pretty much describes the shade perfectly its definitely very rosy/mauve, it kind of reminds me of MAC Soar lipliner.

Tweepi Hair Removal Wand
It's safe to say I am pretty obsessed with having a hairless upper lip, I find myself threading quite often during the week before doing my night time skincare routine just because I'm up close and personal to my mirror. This tool has made my life so much easier with one bend and twisting motions this plucks out the hairs right out of the roots! It does come with a cooling pad but I don't use that as I'm used to the pain of threading. P.S you can use it all around your face!

Primark Mini Beauty Blenders
I've never tried the original mini beauty blenders but these ones look very similar and are much more affordable, they come in a pack of 3 (1 was in my make up bag) I use it to blend my concealer and really push the product into my skin to make it look as natural as possible. I love how bouncy these can get too, the infamous youtube guru Goss Make Up Artist did a video recently raving about them that you can watch here. Primark have seriously upped their game!

I'm going to keep this post short and simple just because I'm sure you all are familiar with this very hyped up concealer, I've seen loads of bloggers raving about this even till this day!

"Crease-resistant, opaque coverage in a creamy yet lightweight texture. The long-wearing formula camouflages darkness under the eyes, provides complete, natural-looking coverage, evens skin tone, covers dark circles and minimises fine lines around the eyes."
The concealer has huge range of shades catering for all undertones (cool/warm) and they also have 3 colour correctors - orange, green and yellow. The coverage is amazing, my extremely dark circles are hidden with just a few dots under the eyes. It comes packed in a squeezy tube with a brush tip that allows you to control how much you'd like to use.

The consistency of the product is right up my street, super creamy and non drying if anything I find it pretty hydrating on my skin but remember everyones skin is different! The concealer blends seamlessly into the skin without looking cakey, I use a mini beauty blender to push the product into the skin as I find that it leaves a much more flawless finish under the eyes. The coverage is definitely medium to build-able, if I do want full coverage I first apply one layer of the concealer blend it in and then before it sets I apply another thin layer and it really brightens up the under eyes. The concealer does claim to be 'crease resistant' but if you naturally like myself have crease lines any concealer will sink into them, I have pretty much tried every trick in the trade to try avoid the creasing but its just something I'm stuck with.

My favourite concealer to use has to be the orange colour corrector, it has got to be one of the best colour correctors I have used to cover up hyper pigmentation around my mouth which always has been a problem when I wear foundations because without a corrector my mouth area looks super ashy whilst matching everywhere else. This corrector has saved my life, its pigmentation is crazy so remember a little goes a long way.

The price has got the be the best part about these concealers, they can be found online for as cheap as £2.99 or if you live in London Beautybase in Westfield Stratford City currently stocks every single shade and they retail at £4.99. Seeing as its so cheap I'm always stocking up on the shades I use,
I will link below the websites you can purchase them from.

concealing spots, more near to my foundation shade (NC40) - GC978 Medium Beige

3 months later... Hi again! Hope all is well, gosh it definitely has been a while since I've sat down and blogged about my week and how I am in general. This is going to be a very ramble-y blogpost so maybe grab some junk food or if you're like me a hot cuppa and relax, besides that's what lazy sundays are for right?

I had a super long week, it was my best friends birthday on Wednesday and we dined at the beautiful restaurant called 'Tarshish' located in Wood Green. It's super classy, roof top dinner and such delicious food - I honestly loved it. If you have a birthday or a special event coming up I highly recommend you check it out the atmosphere and customer service is 10/10. Sorry I have 0 pictures to show you but check out their website here:

I finally watched 'Girl on the Train' on Friday I literally pee'd twice before watching the movie because I was so nervous - weird right? I never read the book but I saw the trailer 100 times before it was released and was so excited for it to come out ever since. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, I'm not going to spoil it for those of you that haven't watched it but if you've watched 'Gone Girl' the movie kind of reminds me of that because of the way it was directed.

A few ago I posted about my weight loss journey, the pro's and con's I've been going through and to be honest it hasn't gotten easier... if anything its just going more and more down hill. I'm so off my food right now, this has been the most I've been put off ever since this weight loss started. No matter how much I try to make my family/friends/colleagues understand that sometimes I get full quicker or I can't eat a certain thing I get the odd looks, or get told I'm 'silly' or 'picky'.

Whatever it is I am going through right now has got to be one of the hardest things just because I cannot understand it myself to be able to explain to others. I've been getting myself checked out regularly at the doctors, trying to get the best advice from nutritionists about the right food I should eat etc. Sometimes when I get messages from followers about what I eat, or what I'm doing to loose weight its so hard for me to reply because I don't understand whats happening myself.

I like to be honest with you all to the core of it, when I'm happy when I'm sad but right now other than the one problem I'm having I can say I am so happy. I feel happy to say that, in fact I have a huge smile on my face whilst typing this (cheesy I know) but I think that's because its been such a roller coaster of a year for me, it finally feels right to say those words.

Weekly Update #14 | Hello again!

I'm constantly buying the Ardell Demi Wispie lashes as they are my go-to for everyday use, they retail for about £5.49 up on the boots website but prices do vary depending on where you buy them from. Even though I can get quite a few uses from these lashes my best friend did recommend these eBay lashes that look pretty similar to the Demi Wispie lashes and come in a packs of 5 for the price of £1.89 which is an amazing bargain. These are much more wispier in my opinion but the one and only downside is that some of the lashes can be less curly, so what I usually do is just gently curl them with some lash curlers and it does the job. The lash band is nice and thin which makes the application for me personally very easy and it also allows me to have the band closer to my natural lash line to make it look like I'm not wearing falsies at all!

 style 'A20'
I highly recommend these ladies and I'm definitely going to bulk buy seeing as its so cheap, usually I'd buy two and it would cost me over £10. Thank me later!
