I recently was contacted by the team over at Maybelline to join the #MaybellineSquad and it was an opportunity I could never turn down - I absolutely love the brand! They were kind enough to send me a bunch of their new A/W releases, some of the products were unfortunately damaged whilst being delivered, I was gutted but here are my top picks from the collection.

Maybelline Creamy Matte Lipsticks | Price: £6.99
I was so in awe when I opened the package and saw so many amazing lipsticks that Maybelline had sent me, I have tried a few of their lipsticks in the past but the newest collection has me even more excited as they are creamy yet fully matte when swatched. As you all know I love me a good matte lip, the shades vary some are bright and a little out of my comfort zone but there are some gorgeous maroon/plummy shades I'm ready rock this Autumn/Winter.

Maybelline Colour Drama Intense Lip Paints | Price £4.99
I was intrigued to see these cute little tubes in the package and I instantly reached out to the colour that stood out to me the most which was called 'Stripped Down'. At the time I was already wearing a liquid lipstick (Jouer 'Noisette' for reference) and I decided to pop some on and I was in love with the look. It is a gloss but its not that super shiny in your face gloss, a little definitely goes a long way and it feels so comfortable on the lips - even without the liquid lipstick the colour complimented my complexion so much. If your someone like myself who can get dry lips quite quick after wearing a liquid lipstick and like moisture I 100% would recommend picking up the shade in 'Stripped Down' as it compliments any nude/mauve/brown lipstick and puts that moisture back in! I always have it in my make up bag.

Maybelline Strobing Sticks | Price: £6.99
I am so in love with these strobing sticks! So affordable and the creamy texture makes it so easy to apply onto the cheekbones without a hot mess. There's two shades to choose from - one has more of a champagne-gold tone to it (shade 200 Medium-Nude Glow) and the other is a pink toned highlighter (shade 100 Light-Iridecent) which isn't really something I'd wear, I much prefer the Medium-Nude Glow on my cheekbones, I do hope they release more as I love the formula.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo | Price: £4.99
I've reviewed one of my favourite Maybelline Colour Tattoos on my blog already (read here) and as I mentioned this is such an easy product to use, one swipe over the lids gives you a beautiful shimmery finish, they are super pigmented too, they remind me a lot like MAC Paint Pots just at a much more affordable price tag. The two shades I have are called 'Breathless' which is a pretty champagne shade and 'Fantasy' which is a gorgeous deep dark brown.

Maybelline Super 7 Day Nail Varnish | Price: £4.50
Everywhere I look now its all about the metallic look, metallic lipsticks/eyeshadows and now nails too. I'm intrigued to see if the claim of '7 days' really is true because I haven't found a perfect nail varnish formula as of yet that doesn't chip after a few days.

L-R: 'Rose Veil', 'Silver Satin' and 'Goldren Thread'
Big thanks again to the team over at Maybelline, I'm so excited to play around with the products.

Maybelline 2016 A/W Launches

I'm always on the hunt for good eBay brushes just because its affordable and I have bought many that have been pretty impressive in the past plus its perfect for beginners. I was looking to test some eyeshadow brushes (not everyone can afford an eyeshadow brush set by Zoeva) so I went onto eBay searched for the product and also refined my search to UK only because sometimes the postage can take up to a month as it comes from China - it is reasonably cheaper but I'd rather pay a pound or two extra to get it quicker.

I found two sets of brushes that both in total cost me less than £10! The gold and black set was £3.99 and came with 7 beautiful brushes and the black set that was only £2.99 comes with only 4 brushes but they are a little different to the brushes from the gold set.

The black brush from this set has got to be my favourite, it is so fluffy and blends my eye make up so well. I love how flexible it is and seeing as 99% of the time I'm on wearing one colour on my lids this blends it all out super fast without any fuss.

The only problem that I had with the black and gold brush set is that after washing them some bristles did shed and go wonky which was a little disappointing but hey for £3.99 you can't go wrong - just simply snip off the bent bristles if they bug you a lot.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream 'Berlin'
I'm not going to lie I do have a love/hate relationship with the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream range only because some of the shades I've bought have been slightly patchy sometimes but they have recently launched a few new shades that I have fallen in love with. 'Berlin' is a gorgeous medium warm brown shade that will compliment any complexion, I get so many compliments when I wear this with Primark's brown lipliner lined around my lips - my favourite combo at the moment.
P.S adding a lipliner under these lip creams adds much more longevity.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer
Everyone knows the hype about this concealer, I remember using this a few years ago and at first loving it - the coverage was amazing but slowly when I began to suffer with drier skin under my eyes this concealer and me just didn't work well together so I stopped using it. Recently my eyes have gotten reasonably better (thanks to the Khiels Avocado Eye Cream) and I am able to use this concealer again finally. I love the instant glow I get under my eyes when using this, for reference I use the shade 3.

St.Ives Fresh Apricot Scrub
This is another product I've come back to since my skin has started to behave again, this has always been my number one exfoliator - I love love love how fine the beads are and how soft it leaves my skin after use, my skin does feel squeaky clean.
price: £4

Boots Traditional Skincare Toner
I stumbled across this toner whilst shopping in Boots really randomly and after seeing that it containers rosewater and glycerin - I was sold. Rosewater has been so popular in the beauty department recently as it contains so many beneficial ingredients. Glycerin is amazing for dry skin and this toner in particular is super moisturising, I've used many toners that have left me with even drier skin like its stripped all my natural oils but this one ticks all the right boxes for me.

eBay 4 piece eyeshadow brushes
I love buying brushes off eBay to put them to the test and see if they're any good and I have found some good affordable brushes for beginners that you can check out here. The other day I just typed in eyeshadow brushes and tons came up, I refined my search to UK only and found this 4 piece eyeshadow set for £2.99 inc p&p - how cool right? They arrived super fast and have been pretty good so far even after a wash - review and link coming soon.
price: £2.99

Loreal Pure Clay Glow Mask
Last but not least its this amazing exfoliating mask that has been so good to my skin - I've been loving skincare more recently over make up. I love that when removing this mask it also feels like I'm using a scrub so its like a 2 in 1. There was a promotional offer as there are 2 more masks you can get from this collection and at the time it was £5 but its now gone unfortunately, but keep your eyes peeled it may go half price.
