The lovely team over at Magnitone* reached out to me and were kind enough to send me this product to try and review for you lovely ladies - good news, this has truly made a huge difference to my skincare regime. I have always been intrigued by these 'facial cleansing brushes' but was always a little held back because they can be quite pricey but now after using it for a while I can say this is totally worth investing it.

I'm pretty lazy when it comes to my skincare if I'm honest, some days it's a make up wipe and we're done which is convenient for the times we've had a long day but it's so bad for your skin! It clogs up your pores, and depending on what wipes you're using sometimes they have very harsh chemicals that you do not want to use on your face, so I'll always recommend that you take the extra time to use a good cleanser to remove your make up - trust me it's beneficial in the long run. What I love about this brush is that it's Waterproof! This is perfect for me as I love getting my skincare done in the shower as it's so much easier than leaning over the sink and getting water all down my arms and on the floor!

The barefaced cleansing brush promises to 'deep cleanse, empty out pores and tone your skin so it's well-behaved everyday'

With one push of a button begins your '60 second skin work out' which stops every 20 seconds to remind you to move to the next area of your face! How cool? After my first use of the Magnitone my skin felt a little tingly, and was slightly pink in some ares due to the fact it was the first time I've used something like this on my skin so it was definitely expected. I'm currently using the Soap & Glory 'Peaches & Clean Deep Cleansing Milk' which is amazing, honestly its the smoothest cleanser I've ever used, it feels like silk on my skin and instantly melts away my make up.

Depending on how much make up I am wearing, if it's a full face I would massage the cleanser onto my face and then go in with the Magnitone but it is perfectly ok for you to put your cleanser directly onto the brush head and use it that way. I like to work from inwards to outwards so I'm not constantly bringing the dirt back into my face. After only a few days of use my skin has been feeling so much smoother and looking brighter. I recently have been suffering from the darn spots/bumps under the skin around my cheeks and I can 100% say that they've reduced due to this cleansing brush it really replenishes my skin and has perfected the condition of it.

Retailing at a whopping £70 and 4 funky colours to choose from it is still a little on the pricey side for those of you on a budget but I genuinely recommend this to anyone that is looking for something to turn their skin around, I saw results within days!

p.s.. It comes with 12 months warranty and a £5 gift card for when you purchase your new brush head and theres a few others to choose from.

Review: Magnitone barefaced

Hello everyone! Hope you've all had a great week... mine has once again been pretty busy. First of all I finally started working again and I'm so happy! People might find this weird, but I just got bored of being at home. Early mornings have been very hard, 7am wake up calls are never something to look forward to but other than that I love my job. During the week I also received my Magnitone Brush which was super exciting, they was kind enough to send me one and I cannot wait to tell you guys how amazing it is! Blogpost coming soon ;)

The week was a little bit of a whirl-wind if I'm honest, I remember Friday very well because after work myself and two of my colleagues dined at Las Iguanas! Saturday was spent with my good old friend SauWei, we shopped around a little had a catch up session and then I met up with Rima and ate at GBK. p.s Thank you Rima for treating me to some foodies hehe <33 #BestieGoals

Sunday was a busy day - 9am wake up call from P ( then long strolls through Spitafields Market, taking some amateur outfit photos, then a pit stop at GBK AGAIN - oh and of course, a pop into MAC which lead to a cheeky lipstick purchase. I ended my evening with a movie night with Aminul, we watched 'No Escape' full of suspense, I loved it. Currently, super happy. Loving life and just the flow of it.

Weekly Update #7 | A NEW TERM..

This post has been inspired by one of my absolute favourite YouTubers of all time - essie button. She recently uploaded a video about going on a 'make up cleanse' and at first, it hurt my heart to see how much make up she had and to hear about how much she got rid of.. but then slowly it started to just make sense.

Just like every other beauty blogger, I am a huge hoarder and excessive buyer when it comes to make up, which is sort of what we do - but it can become an unhealthy obsession. All you want to do is buy buy buy, and it's all good if you actually make use out of a product but when it's sitting in your make up drawers gathering dust - really is it all worth it? De-cluttering is so important to me, and I do this a lot with everything else but never have dared to look into my make up and try to do the same because I just don't want to let it go, but it does cloud your mind a lot.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE make up and it's a huge part of what I do, but weirdly sometimes when I would look at my make up collection it would just give me a headache - theres simply way too much and not enough days in the world to use it all. Also the fact I like to stay tidy, when it's cluttered around everywhere it doesn't help the situation. So I decided I too would get rid of some of my make up and start fresh, buy what I need and be happy with what I have.

Things like foundations, they are extremely expensive and I currently own 14 and I only use one. I don't reach out to them enough, I've either forgotten or they simply don't look good on my skin anymore which majority of the time is the case for me, I buy a foundation and love it up for a good month or two and then my skin just simply says NEXT - my skin is super fussy, and just wants different things. Now I'm not going to lie I will continue to buy more make up as I've mentioned it's such a big part of what I do, I'll still do my reviews here and there but I won't hoard onto them like I have been for the past few months because there isn't any point if my skin refuses to like it.

I'm currently using a app called Depop ( on there you can sell your used or even new make up and make some money back! Letting go is almost like just saying bye bye to your hard earned money, so selling it and making some back will 100% make you feel better. I know it's made me feel less sad and just more grateful for what I have. Separate your make up into sections, look at it all and be real with yourself and keep the things you honestly will use. I still have more than the average, but it's like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders getting rid of some of my make up, girls don't be afraid, just do it all at your own pace there is no rush.
